Renaissance terracotta research
Sabino Conservation has been contracted to carry out practical research into the conservation and restoration of sixteenth century Italian terracotta reliefs in external environments. Primary considerations are: cleaning, desalination, reattachment of flakes related to low temperature firing, fissure grouting, micro-stitching, gap-filling and matching lost fire-skins.
